Snow Report for 3.19.21

We love our bluebird spring days here in Steamboat. Right now the resort is reporting 33°F at the mid-mountain and a high of 42°F today. Expect warmer temperatures through Saturday afternoon with a chance for some snow Sunday through Tuesday. A storm is forecasted to hit the Rockies with a chance of eight inches in total over the next five days.

It’s Friday and it's days like this when spring fever really takes hold. Today and tomorrow are great days to take the opportunity to sleep in, put on some sunscreen, and get on the slopes to enjoy the sunshine.

Despite warming temperatures the snow conditions are holding up well and the mountain is yours to explore. All of the resort’s terrain is open and worth checking out. But we do recommend starting later in the day when the snow has a chance to soften.

Vagabond laps are always a good option and it’s a great run for all types of skiers and riders. Buddy’s Run and High Noon are also a good option for mellow groomer laps.

We can’t believe there are only three weeks left of the season! Normally we look forward to end-of-season festivities but this is not a normal year. Unfortunately Steamboat Resort announced that this year’s closing day Springalicious festivities are cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. This includes the Cardboard Classic and Pond Skim.

Regardless, the resort pulled off a great season and we’re just happy to be able to get out there.

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
