Snow Report for 2.10.21

Last weekend did not disappoint with Steamboat Resort reporting 47 inches at the summit of the mountain. This morning we were welcomed with seven inches of fresh powder and more snow is in the forecast with up to 36 inches total over the next five days.

February is turning out to be much better than January in terms of snowfall, but Steamboat’s snowpack is still 73 percent compared to the 30-year average. The mountain could still use more snow just to cover up rocks and fallen trees.

Unfortunately Pony Express Lift remains closed due to lack of snowfall. You can cut over from Morningside, but there is still a lot of rock and bushwhack exposure.

Tree runs we’re loving right now:
Priest Creek Liftline
Trees along Sideburn/Closets
Nelson’s Run
Christmas Tree Bowl

Pro Tip:
If you want to avoid the crowds/longlines, get on the mountain around lunchtime if you can.

Do your snow dance!
