Snow Report 1.29.21

It’s currently 48°F in town and 30°F at the summit. It’s unusually warm for January and the conditions are becoming slushy at the base of Mount Werner.

Temperatures will drop tonight and we can expect to see snow showers early into the morning. Saturday’s forecast is predicting 5 inches of snowfall total, snow the ski area could really use. The next snow storm isn’t expected until  Wednesday, February 3. But if 2021 has proved anything, it’s that Steamboat’s weather is unpredictable.

Temperatures in the forecast are expected to rise again Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. As we go into February, we can only hope to get a lot of storms.

Runs we’re loving right now:

  • Buddy’s Run
  • Concentration
  • Triangle 3
  • Cheesy Grits

Expert tip: If you have an Ikon pass, make sure to show it to resort affiliated stores and restaurants for a discount.

See you out there!
