January 30th Steamboat Snow Report

We saw more snow this past weekend with 10" on Friday and another 5" or so on Saturday. Sunday remained soft with plenty of stashes in the trees and outside of gates.

We have had a little break from snow in the past few days, but have seen sunshine and blue skies which is always welcome. These days are great for some groomer laps on sunny side (Sunshine, Sundown and Southpeak lifts). Make sure to stop by the Taco Beast if you are riding on sunny side! The Taco Beast is a taco food truck inside of a snow cat, it is located at the bottom of Sunshine lift and is open Thursday-Monday each week from 11am-2pm.

It looks we have more snow in the forecast for this weekend, so be sure to get up on the resort early on Sunday! If the gondola line is too long, try skipping the gondola and heading over to Christy lift and then Thunderhead lift. Lines are much shorter plus you get to ski on the way up! Then head over to Four Points lift and ride lower mountain early before it gets tracked out.

Shadows and Closets trees are always amazing EARLY on a powder day, so be sure to hit those first before making you way over to sunny side and hitting 2 o'clock, 1:30, and 1 o'clock trees.
