June Angling News

The weather is warm, and the river is raging here in Steamboat! The waters are high but running clear for the most part, making for a great float. Be careful wading though, we recommend staying close to the banks and taking precautions when wading.

We are happy to say that the road to Sarvis Creek is finally open, you'll be sure to see us there this weekend.

A lot of luck with stones and worms lately, with great success early in the day and late in the afternoon out at Steamboat Lake. We've also been having some great days out at Crosho lake, where we caught mostly Native Cutthroat and some Arctic Grayling. If you've never caught a Grayling, you should head on out to Pearl Lake where they have been in abundance. Be sure to stop by Straightline and we'll get you outfitted for a great day on the water!
