Fishing Report for 9.16.21 - Written by Scott Norris

We can’t believe we’re halfway through September and official start of fall is just around the corner! It's September 16 and the day has been mainly sunny to start, then we can expect a few afternoon clouds. The high is near 80F with winds blowing SW at 10 to 20 mph.

With cooler temperatures the waters have been cooler off, which has ultimately helped our fish friends. The fishing conditions are improving and we have been having successful trips out on our private waters and higher elevation lakes and streams.

There’s a lot of nymph action going on and we’ve been resorting to the Pheasant Tail nymph. It’s a great fly and will imitate just about all of the mayflies present in trout streams.

Straight lines!
